Restoration of original miniature buildings from
Blade Runner 2049 for museum exhibition.
BLADE RUNNER 2049 — MINIATURE RESTORATION
Working as part of the Props team at Wētā Workshop, I contributed to the restoration of original miniature buildings used in Blade Runner 2049 (2017), directed by Denis Villeneuve, in preparation for a museum exhibition in Australia.
The work involved restoring damaged components and performing paint touch-ups on the exterior of the models. One of the buildings required a complete interior restoration, including the replacement of the lighting and internal systems to recreate different lighting conditions, scenes and room scales, restoring the depth and realism of the original miniature.
